Clinic Coordinator
- Responsibilities are to:
  - provide adminstrative support to medical care providers
  - provide social services for the clinic population
  - support physicians, nurse practitioners and registered nurses
  - work with families to establish and maintain public insurance coverage
  - collaborate with school faculty, community resources and other HEALS staff in referring the student and family to appropriate services as needs arise
  - maintain updated information on student demographics, well-child physicals and other patient data in Electronic Health Records.
- This team member works 24 to 32 hours per week, 10 months per year.
- Regular hours are M-TH 7:30 – 3:30, F 7:30 -11:30; August through May
- The clinics have a reduced schedule when the schools are on breaks (such as Spring Break, Christmas, etc.)
- Preferred Skill Set
  - Five years of experience in office work
  - Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  - Experience in the social services field
  - Objective judgement and discretion, and effective problem-solving skills
  - Ability to work with external partners and site school support staff
  - Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel
  - Valid Alabama driver’s license for occasional transportation of patients in HEALS’ vehicle.

Physician for HEALS at Morris Elementary School clinic
- This is a contract position to provide primary medical care to children enrolled in HEALS care.
- Functions:
  - Provides direct medical care, on a rotating basis, at the HEALS medical clinics.
  - Provides 4 hours of direct services one day per week.
  - Serves as on-call physician on a rotating basis with the other HEALS on-call primary care providers.
  - Attends evening provider meetings once a quarter.
- Qualifications/Stipulations:
  - MD with a specialty in family practice or pediatrics.
  - Maintain necessary licenses, Huntsville Hospital privileges, and liability coverage for the practice of medicine.
Dentist for HEALS at Madison Cross Roads School clinic
- This is a contract position to provide dental care in our newest school-based dental clinic with state-of-the-art equipment and digital technology.
- This opportunity offers a daily or partial-day rate for part-time hours with the potential to add more days as the practice grows.
- Qualifications/Stipulations:
  - Dentist must have a DDS or DMD degree
  - Carry adequate malpractice insurance
  - Eligible to be a Medicaid provider
