Temporary Administrative Assistant (Position Filled)

This team member works 20 hours per week, on a temporary basis from mid-June 2015 to January 2016. Hours are M-F 7:30 am – 11:30 am.

Responsibilities are to:
• provide administrative support to the Executive Director and Administrative Office staff
• answer phones, greet office visitors, maintain administrative office
• manage routine office tasks
• handle calls pertaining to operational issues at the clinics
• organize meetings, take minutes
• assist with Stars Dancing for HEALS preparations
• other duties as assigned

Preferred Skill Set:
• Two years of experience in office work
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Self-motivation and attention to detail required
• Experience in the social services field
• Objective judgment and discretion, and effective problem-solving skills
• Ability to work with external partners and site school support staff
• Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Calendar


Registered Nurse (Position Filled)

HEALS is seeking a registered nurse for our busy pediatric practice with full-time hours during the school year.

This family-friendly work environment offers a perfect schedule with early afternoons, summers and holidays off. Clinic hours are M – Th 7:30 – 4:30, F 7:30 – Noon.

Nurses must:

  • have a current Alabama Board of Nursing License
  • have CPR Certification
  • carry adequate malpractice insurance

Contract Dentist for Mondays

Our newest dental clinic is located next to Madison Cross Roads Elementary School in Toney, AL. The clinic has state-of-the-art equipment and digital technology. The environment is warm and relaxed with experienced staff and smiling kids. This opportunity offers a daily rate for part-time hours in a family-friendly work environment with the potential to add more days as the practice grows.

Dentist must:

  • have a DDS or DMD degree
  • carry adequate malpractice insurance
  • be eligible to be a Medicaid provider
