Our Mission & History
Since its founding in 1998, HEALS has been driven by a clear mission: to expand access to care and ensure every child has access to essential medical, dental, and vision services. What began as a single school-based clinic has grown into a trusted network serving communities across Huntsville and Madison County.
From expanding into multiple schools to introducing dental and vision care, HEALS has continually evolved to meet the needs of economically disadvantaged families. Guided by compassion and community support, our history reflects a deep commitment to improving children’s health, strengthening families, and creating brighter futures through accessible, school-based care.
